What is Knuckleheads Boxing and Family Fitness?
Knuckleheads is a family-friendly boxing gym and fitness studio for individuals of all experience and fitness levels, including amateur boxers wanting to compete.
Do I need to have boxing experience to join Knuckleheads?
Knuckleheads is open to boxers and fitness enthusiasts of all levels. You don’t have to consider yourself a boxer to join our group classes.
Where is Knuckleheads located?
Knuckleheads is in Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood at 633 S. Plymouth Court. You can easily access the gym from the Harrison and Harold Washington Library stops on the El.
Is there parking at Knuckleheads?
We don’t have designated parking at Knuckleheads, but we are one block south of a paid parking lot. There is also paid street parking on Plymouth Court.
What are the group classes like at Knuckleheads Boxing and Family Fitness?
Knuckleheads group classes are 45 minutes of work, although each class is unique and at the coach’s discretion. All classes will start with a warm-up before getting into the bulk of the class. Our boxing and kickboxing classes include bag work and bodyweight exercises between rounds. Our strength classes will incorporate weights and equipment, such as kettlebells, battle ropes, and medicine balls.
What should I bring to class?
Knuckleheads is a fitness studio, so you’ll want to wear athletic attire. You can wear boxing shoes if you’d like, although standard athletic shoes also work for group classes. You will also need boxing gloves and hand wraps to participate in class. You can rent or purchase gloves at the gym if you don’t have your own pair.
Can I rent or buy equipment at Knuckleheads?
You can rent boxing gloves if you’re new to boxing. If you plan on continuing your boxing journey, we do have gloves for you to purchase.
What will I do during my personal training session?
Personal training sessions at Knuckleheads allow you to work on your fitness goals, whether boxing, kickboxing, strength training, or cardio. Once you set your first session with your trainer, you can talk to them about your goals and what you hope to achieve through your sessions. From there, your trainer will tell you what to expect and bring your personalized sessions.
Are there age restrictions for boxing at Knuckleheads?
Nope! Knuckleheads is a family-friendly boxing studio open to all ages. Our group classes are open to kids. As long as you can follow directions, you can become a Knucklehead!
Can I put a hold on membership?
Yes, you can put a membership on hold for up to 90 days for a fee of $15.00 per month. If you want to put your Knuckleheads membership on hold, please email info@knuckleheadsboxing.
How do I cancel my membership?
If you need to cancel your Knuckleheads membership, please email info@knuckleheadsboxing. Members must provide Knuckleheads Boxing and Family Fitness with a 30-day written cancellation notice. You will always have 1 last billing after your cancellation notice has been accepted.
